Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., the top Democrat on the House Education Committee, and one of the original architects of the No Child Left Behind Act, is retiring from Congress after this term—but not before Education Week readers have a chance to hear his thoughts on where federal education policy has been and where it needs to go next.

Miller will be the keynote speaker at the Education Week/Gallup post-election event on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, where we will delve into what the results of the election mean for K-12 policy. Attendees will also hear Gallup’s Editor-In-Chief Frank M. Newport parse the election results—and get a sense of where things are headed on Capitol Hill from top education education aides.

Want to come? Attendance is free! Just click on the “Save the Date” link on the event website, which will be updated as new speakers are confirmed.

See you there!
