In so-horrific-it’s-true news, a 57-year-old black 3rd grade teacher, Janice Wells, called the cops to report a prowler in her rural Georgia neighborhood. When Wells apparently wouldn’t answer questions about the neighbor waiting for the cops with her, she was pepper-sprayed and tased repeatedly by the police, reports BET News.

She was a school teacher; she had to teach the next day. She couldn’t make bond and she had to spend the night in jail,” Stewart County Sheriff Larry Jones told CNN.

While the cops have been relieved of their duty, there are currently no criminal charges pending against them.
