Arne Duncan Plays Pickup Basketball at Georgetown

During the summer, it’s great to live in the Washington area for basketball diehards like yours truly.

Arne Duncan, the U.S. secretary of education, just proved why this past weekend.

Every weekend in July, current and former college basketball players converge on Georgetown University’s on-campus gymnasium for a summer basketball league called Kenner League (or as it’s now officially known, “The Nike Pro-City League”).

Apparently, the secretary of education had an open invite, as Duncan laced up the old basketball shoes on Sunday and took to the court as a member of team “Can’t Be Stop,” according to multiple reports from the event.
