Ahmaud Arbery. Breonna Taylor. George Floyd. Their deaths, and those of other black Americans, have been the driving force behind protests for racial justice that have lasted for days and spread from coast to coast. Schools districts have responded in varying ways to the call for racial equity: the Minneapolis district has severed ties with the city police department. The Akron, Ohio, school board has declared racism a "public health crisis." Others have committed to embracing equitable practices.

• What does this unprecedented moment mean for school district leaders?
• How can they use this time both to support students and to push for needed change?

Join John D. Marshall, chief equity officer, for Jefferson County Public Schools, Louisville, Ky., for a live talk show with Christina Samuels, Education Week’s equity beat reporter. We’ll be taking as many of your questions as we can in the 60 minutes we have with you, the Education Week reader.
