June 5, 2009  Some observers have argued that graduation rates are failing to reach a level necessary to put the United States on a solid footing in a competitive global economy.

April 22, 2009  A new report from the EPE Research Center finds that barely one-half of students in the nation's 50 largest cities complete high school with a diploma. But the study also discovers signs of improvement, with rising graduation rates and narrowing urban-suburban gaps in recent years.
