The federal Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services is holding its first webinar tomorrow from 1 to 2 p.m. EST! The star-studded guest list includes:
- Alexa Posny, the assistant secretary of OSERS (On Special Education’s interviews with Posny: part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4),
- Lynnae Ruttledge, commissioner of the Rehabilitative Services Administration (RSA) and the acting director of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research,
- Larry Wexler, the director of department’s research-to-practice division,
- Ruth Ryder, the director of the division of monitoring and state improvement planning.
During the program, Posny said in a release, “we will outline OSERS goals and describe how our programs and services are helping us meet these goals. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to OSERS leadership team.” I think we should encourage the department to have more of these webinars by giving them a huge audience and asking lots of good questions.
If you’re interested in participating in the webinar (you don’t need any special equipment other than a computer with an internet connection), you can find all the information you need to know at this link. The webinar will also be archived for later viewing. See you there!
