Roughly 1 in 10 public school students are still acquiring the English language. As this population has grown significantly in recent decades, schools and districts have grappled with staffing shortages and resource challenges that can complicate efforts to provide support to multilingual learners.
To learn more about perspectives on staffing, instructional approaches, and training, the EdWeek Research Center surveyed K-12 educators who work with this student population. This report highlights five key findings from the survey.
