Apologies in advance for the self-promotion here, but it’s for a good cause.

Earlier this year, Education Week released an e-book, Playing It Safe: Reducing Concussions and Head Injuries in School Sports, that compiles much of the latest research and information related to youth-sports concussions. Inside, you’ll learn how youth-sports organizations have begun to adopt and/or change their concussion policies, discover the dangers of student-athletes prematurely returning from concussions, and read about the effectiveness of safety equipment in preventing head injuries.

From now through Tuesday, Dec. 10, this e-book is free to download on Amazon. You pay absolutely nothing, no strings attached. (We’d love for you to leave a review, though.) If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll also be able to borrow the e-book for free within the next 90 days.

And for those who don’t have a Kindle, never fear. You can read the e-book using the free-to-download Kindle desktop app.

So, what are you waiting for? Go download the book for free through Tuesday, spread the word to your friends, family, and colleagues, and leave a review. You’ll have earned my undying gratitude in return—and, I hope, we’ll have helped prevent student head injuries.
