David Boren has been President of the University of Oklahoma for more than two decades, capping a career that includes stints as state representative, governor and U.S. senator. He has now jumped back into politics, supporting a state ballot measure to raise the sales tax to help fund education. Boren talks about budget cuts to education, from pre-K through college, sounding an alarm about the impact of these cuts on students and the nation as a whole. He shares his thoughts on the politicization of education, on the presidential race, and weights in on state vs. federal control of education.
