The official music video for “Uptown Funk,” by artist Mark Ronson and featuring Bruno Mars, debuted in November 2014 to widespread acclaim. Two months later, a Dallas teacher and his students show that they have perfected the moves.

Scot Pankey, a theater teacher at A. Maceo New Tech High School, coordinated dozens of students for a dance that took over a vast swath of the school. One commenter on the video captured the sentiments of many: “We need more of this in our schools. Make coming to class fun again. There’s nothing like learning in a fun way. Education rocks!!!!” (The more exclamation points, the more true something is.)
