Bridgeport High School, in Bridgeport, Wash., is one of three finalists in the Race to the Top Commencement Challenge for President Obama to speak at its graduation.

The White House made the announcement on Monday after receiving nearly 100,000 online votes from people across the country. The president will select the winning school later this week.

The other finalists are High Tech High, in San Diego, and Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tenn.

Of the finalists, Bridgeport High is the smallest and most rural. It enrolls about 200 students, all of whom are high poverty. We wrote more about the school last week when it was one of six finalists.
