Rethinking Schools columnist Barbara Miner takes a critical look at the quality of the private schools in the Milwaukee school system, the nation’s oldest voucher program. Citing results from an investigative report carried out by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Miner cautions it is “increasingly clear that a disturbing number of voucher schools are outright abominations.”
