A ‘Teacher Snow Day’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Teachers, beware! Your media image is taking another cheap shot, this time from “Saturday Night Live.”

The NBC comedy show uses a lot more pre-recorded short films these days, including this music video from this past Saturday’s show that is supposedly about what teachers really do when students get a snow day. Apparently, all the teachers fight through the snow to get to school so they can engage in various forms of debauchery.

The video is a bit raunchy and the joke is pretty old. “The Simpsons” did it better years ago with the idea of teachers drinking and dancing a conga during their “in-service” day. The SNL bit certainly won’t win any praise from American Federation of Teachers President and part-time media critic Randi Weingarten.
