The state’s aggregate average-daily-attendance rate from the 2003-04 to the 2009-10 school years was 96 percent, but a significant portion of students missed 10 percent of school or more: 6.35 percent in kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3.6 percent in grades 3-5, 7.39 percent in middle school, and nearly 15 percent in high school.
