Which High School Sports Pose the Greatest Risk for Coronavirus Spread?

As the spread of the novel coronavirus begins to slow in parts of the United States, K-12 school leaders and state athletic association leaders are weighing the risk of restarting workouts and practices for high school athletes.

The National Federation of State High School Associations’ Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, a 15-member panel of medical doctors, certified athletic trainers, high school coaches, state athletic association executives, and officials, released guidelines that identify the potential infection risk by sport, labeling the most common high school sports as lower-, intermediate or higher-risk.
