Welcome to Day 4 of our National Teacher Appreciation Week Series: Educators Who Inspire Educators. We have gotten to know three hardworking teachers throughout this week. Now we head to Orland Park, IL to meet high school teacher leader:

Desi Vuillaume, Orland Park, IL, USA

Teaches: Psychology/Social Studies Grades 9-12

Twitter handle: @djvuillaume

Website: //1-1life.blogspot.com/2014/03/qr-codes-and-psychology-fair.html

Inpires: John Connolly

Why John is inspired by Desi: “Desi Vuillaume is one of the leading innovative teachers at District 230. He is consistently leveraging technology tools to improve the learning in his classroom in addition to sharing his experiences with colleagues. His students are challenged to think critically while being empowered in his class and the results are inspiring.

I personally appreciate this teacher as a tech leader helping to trail blaze for many of our staff members along with taking on extra responsibilities for the district. Desi is a thought leader with the cultural change in D230 and is consistently sending ideas and testing out concepts. Desi is able to be such a great resource to his kids and district all while being a world class High School soccer coach.”

Connect with Desi on Twitter and learn more about his work and students! Come back tomorrow as we learn more about TWO more great teachers!
