U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan recently hit the road for a cross-country “Education Drives America” bus tour, where he’s meeting with students, parents, school officials, and local policymakers to discuss the education issues important in their communities.

Duncan kicked off the tour at Sequoia High School on Sept. 12, in Redwood City, Calif., and has since been making his way back East. He’ll arrive at his final destination—the U.S. Department of Education’s headquarters in Washington,—this coming Friday.

On Monday, Duncan stopped at Lowry Elementary School, in Denver, where he spent some time getting physically active with students in recognition of Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative. Duncan joined the students for a “Cupid Shuffle,” as you can see in the video below:

“They actually made me dance. Hopefully, I won’t have to do that the rest of the bus trip,” he jokes in the video.

You can follow the remainder of Duncan’s bus journey by searching the hashtag #edtour on Twitter, or by following @arneduncan and @usedgov.

Our Politics K-12 bloggers, who also covered this Duncan dance-off today, will be reporting on all of the education-related Campaign 2012 highlights, so be sure to keep a close eye on them between now and November.
