Source: National Center for Education Statistics | Visualization: Chienyi Cheri Hung, Stacey Decker

The graduation rates displayed in the map for 2006-07 through 2011-12 were calculated by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics using its Averaged Freshman Graduation Rate formula. Previous editions of Diplomas Count used graduation rates calculated with the Education Week Research Center's Cumulative Promotion Index method.

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation provides support to Diplomas Count.
