COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Erskine College has announced a major scholarship opportunity for eligible high school seniors at some charter schools across South Carolina.

Tim Rees is Erskine's dean of enrollment. On Wednesday, he unveiled the Erskine Pilot Scholarship, a $100,000, four-year tuition scholarship at the Due West school. It's available to every senior graduating next year from a charter school authorized by Erskine's Charter institute .

Erskine says eligible students must be fully accepted as on-campus residential students to the college for the fall 2019 term.

Erskine's Charter Institute serves as the authorizer for 13 charter schools across the state. Four additional schools are scheduled to open in the fall of 2019.
