Lack of Education Seen to Hurt Hispanics’ Earning Potential

One of the biggest obstacles to the prosperity of Hispanics in the United States is the failure of many to graduate from high school, concludes a report describing the lives of Hispanics in the United States.

Produced by the National Research Council, an arm of the National Academies, the report says many Hispanics who drop out of school are recent arrivals who were already behind in school before they enrolled in U.S. schools.
