The House passed a nonbinding resolution by a 383-31 vote last week urging the U.S. Supreme Court to affirm the constitutionality of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in schools with the phrase "under God" included. The reolution said such a ruling would resolve a conflict in recent decisions on the issue by the U.S. courts of appeals for the 4th and 9th Circuits.
