Former Official Sentenced

A former Department of Education official who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful conflict of interest was sentenced July 29. Eric G. Andell, a former deputy undersecretary for the department’s office of safe and drug-free schools was sentenced on July 29 to a year of probation and 100 hours of community service.
