News in Brief: A National Roundup
The Camden, N.J., public schools will begin a program this week to try to keep children safe as they walk to school. The Safe Corridors/Safe Havens program is a collaboration among the mayor’s office, the board of education, the superintendent’s office, the local prosecutor’s office, and police agencies to foster a safe, 1.2-mile corridor surrounding each school.
