Correction

A story in the Oct. 29, 2003, issue of Education Week about states’ baseline data on “highly qualified” teachers (“States Claim Teachers Are ‘Qualified’”) gave the wrong number of states reporting that 80 percent or more of their classes were taught by such teachers in the past school year. The correct number is 31.
