Special Education

The Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources' Subcommittee on Disability Policy last week held its third hearing on the upcoming reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Educators, parents, researchers, and administrators testified on such issues as including disabled children in education-reform initiatives, including more such children in large-scale assessment programs, and developing successful inclusion policies.

1996 Appropriations

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education began hearing testimony last week from public witnesses on fiscal 1996 spending.
