The Education Department

Combined Application Notice

The Education Department published in the Sept. 24 Federal Register its notice inviting applications for fiscal 1994 grants and fellowships. The agency's comprehensive, annual listing of awards and deadlines includes all programs that were previously announced in the Register, as well as those that are to be announced later.

Transitional Services
Funding Priority

The Education Department published priorities in the Sept. 21 Federal Register for more than $1.7 million in grants to be awarded over the next two years to projects aimed at helping disabled students make the transition from school to work or further study.

Deaf-Blindness Program
Funding Priority

Research aimed at translating and validating proven educational practices for use with children who are deaf and blind will be given priority for funding in 1994 and 1995 under the federal Services for Children with Deaf-Blindness Program, the Education Department announced in a Sept. 21 Federal Register notice.
