Proposed Rules

The department has published proposed rules that would, among other changes, allow the “incidental’’ participation of ineligible children in Chapter 1 programs. The announcement appeared in the May 26 Federal Register; comments are due July 10.

Mathematics and Science
Final Rules

The department published regulations in the May 21 Federal Register implementing changes made by lawmakers in 1990 to the Eisenhower Mathematics and Science grant program, including a requirement that districts receiving less than $6,000 under the program form consortia.

Agriculture Department

Meat-Topped Pizzas
Proposed Rules

The Agriculture Department published proposed regulations in the May 22 Federal Register that would exempt freshly made meat-topped pizzas from certain health inspections.
