Inspect their buildings for friable and nonfriable asbestos by next October, using accredited inspectors.

Using accredited personnel, develop management plans for each school and submit them to state authorities by Oct. 12, 1988.

Begin implementing their plans by July 1989.

Monitor every six months the condition of asbestos left in place.

Annually inform parent and employee organizations in writing that the management plan is available for public inspection.

Provide asbestos-awareness training to maintenance and custodial workers.

Post warning labels on asbestos-containing material in maintenance areas.
