Results of the Teen Poll Survey are available from Fight Crime: Invest in Kids.

More than one-third of American youths ages 12 to 17 report being victims of cyber bullying in the past year, a survey says.

Of the more than 500 teenagers surveyed for the Washington-based nonprofit organization Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, 36 percent reported that mean, threatening, or embarrassing things had been said about them or to them over instant message, e-mail, social-networking sites, chat rooms, or text message. Of those teenagers, 59 percent said that the harassment had to do with dating or relationships, and 38 percent said that they had been harassed about their physical appearance.
