Great news, District Dossier readers!

Reporter Denisa Superville, formerly of The Record, in Bergen County, N.J., has just joined the Education Week staff to partner with me on the school district news and leadership beats.

It’s great to be fully staffed again to cover these critical coverage areas and Denisa brings a sharp eye and wealth of reporting experience—much of it in the rough and tumble world of New Jersey city government. Denisa spent several years covering municipal government—including local school boards—and breaking news for The Record, and is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She also worked for a New York City councilmember while she was in grad school.

She’s already filed a bunch of blog posts and is getting several stories underway. Stay tuned for a piece from her later this week on the latest phase of financial turmoil in the Philadelphia schools.

In the meantime, send Denisa (dsuperville@epe.org) and me (lmaxwell@epe.org) your district and leadership story ideas and tips and follow us on Twitter @district_doss.
