Innovation is all the buzz these days. If you have an educational innovation that’s ready for the big time, you might want to check out the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s new Education Ventures Program.
It’s a competition to find 20 good education ideas and work with aspiring entrepreneurs to turn those ideas into large-scale, fast-growth ventures for the field. Think of successful education companies such as Blackboard, Inc., Leap Frog, or Kaplan University. Those are the models these program developers want to emulate.
Founders have to be willing, though, to undergo six months of study and training, with support from the program.
