BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore schools officials say 900 students who still have not received state-required vaccinations have been barred from school for nearly two weeks.
That’s down from the 2,500 students barred from school on September 14th, the district’s deadline for students through 10th grade to have hepatitis B and chickenpox shots.
Prince George’s County has the highest number of noncompliant students in the state, more than 2,600.
Anne Arundel County says 148 students were barred from class as of Friday and Baltimore County reports only a handful still have not shown proof of vaccination.
Carroll, Harford and Howard counties say no students were barred this year for failing to meet immunization requirements.
