Merci!: The Sunset Elementary School, a Dade County, Fla., magnet school, has received the first grant ever given by the French government to an American public school. The $250,000 will help the school expand its unusual 4-year-old language program. Sunset's curriculum includes the study of the languages and cultures of France, Germany, and Spain for both English-speaking and non-English-speaking students. ---Jeffrey Porro
