Developmental Studies Center

The center conducts research, develops programs, and supports educational change that fosters children's ethical, social, and intellectual development. Its programs share a constructivist and cooperative orientation, strive to strengthen the connection between home and school, and promote the goal of creating "caring communities of learners" in schools by encouraging children's understanding of and commitment to prosocial values and their own learning.
