Basic School Network

Founded in 1994, the Basic School Network is a national and international elementary education reform initiative. Network schools seek to strengthen the elementary school experience by focusing on four research-based priorities for school excellence and renewal: building community in the school through a shared vision; creating a curriculum with coherence; establishing a climate for learning that provides flexible grouping patterns for students and appropriate resources and services for children and families; and developing character.
