How to Add an Education Week eBook to Your Device

mazon Kindle
  1. If you are downloading an e-book to a Kindle device, please use the following steps:
  2. Download and save the e-book file to your computer, link: www.edweek.org/media/downloads/files/implementing-common-standards-final.mobi
  3. Attach your Kindle to your computer using a USB cable.
  4. Once the device is recognized, locate the e-book file (.mobi format) downloaded to your computer
  5. Drag the file to the ‘Documents’ folder of your Kindle
  6. The title will now appear on your Kindle
 
Apple iPad
  1. If you are downloading an e-book to an iPad, iPhone, or iPod, please use the following steps:
  2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the iBooks app to your device: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ibooks/id364709193
  3. Download and save the e-book file to your computer, link: www.edweek.org/media/downloads/files/implementing-common-standards-final.epub
  4. Open iTunes and click on the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Add to Library…’
  5. Select the e-book file (.ePub format) downloaded to your computer and click the ‘Choose’ button.
  6. Under your iTunes Library, click on ‘Books.’ Your book will now be listed in your library.
  7. Connect your device and check ‘Sync Books.’
  8. When iTunes completes the syncing process, the title will be in your iBooks app.
 
B&N Nook
  1. If you are downloading an e-book to a Nook, please use the following steps:
  2. Download and save the e-book file to your computer, link: www.edweek.org/media/downloads/files/implementing-common-standards-final.epub
  3. Attach your Nook to your computer using a USB cable.
  4. Locate the e-book file (.ePub format) downloaded to your computer.
  5. Drag the file into the ‘My Documents’ folder of your Nook.
  6. The title will now appear when you open the e-book from your Nook.
