E-mail Address How-To
To ensure e-newsletters from Education Week reach your inbox, please add newsletters@edweek.org to your address book or Safe Senders list. Not sure how? Choose your e-mail client from the list below and follow these simple instructions. There are also instructions for removing our e-newsletters from your Junk or Spam folder.
Outlook 2003-2007
To add newsletters@edweek.org to your Safe Senders list:
- In the "Tools" menu, click "Options."
- On the "Preferences" tab, under "E-mail," click "Junk E-mail."
- Click the "Safe Senders" tab.
- Click "Add."
- In the "Enter an e-mail address or Internet domain name to be added to the list" field, enter newsletters@edweek.org.
- Click "Apply."
If our e-newsletters are showing up in your Junk folder:
- Open the Junk folder.
- If you see a message from "Education Week" listed among the messages in this folder, right-click on that e-mail.
- Choose "Junk E-mail" and then "Mark as Not Junk."
- You will be prompted to include newsletters@edweek.org in your Safe Senders List.
- Click "OK."
Gmail
To add newsletters@edweek.org to your address book:
- Click "Contacts" along the left side of any Gmail page.
- Click the "New Contact" button in the top left.
- Enter newsletters@edweek.org into the "Email" field.
- Click "Save."
If our e-newsletters are showing up in your Spam folder:
- Click "Spam" along the left side of any Gmail page.
- If you see a message from "Education Week" listed among the messages in this folder, check the box next to that e-mail.
- Click the "Not Spam" button at the top of the page.
Yahoo!
To add newsletters@edweek.org to your address book:
- Open your latest e-newsletter from Education Week.
- Click the "Add to Contacts" link next to the "From" information.
- Verify newsletters@edweek.org is in the "Email" field.
- Click "Save."
If our e-newsletters are showing up in your Spam folder:
- Click "Spam" along the left side of any Yahoo! Mail page.
- If you see a message from "Education Week" listed among the messages in this folder, check the box next to that e-mail.
- Click the "Not Spam" button at the top of the page.
- Return to your Inbox and open the message that was just relocated from the Spam folder.
- Click the "Add to Contacts" link next to the "From" information.
- Verify newsletters@edweek.org is in the "Email" field.
- Click "Save."
Hotmail
To add newsletters@edweek.org to your Windows Live Hotmail Safe senders list:
- Select "Options" in the top right.
- Click "More Options".
- Under "Junk Email," click "Safe and blocked senders."
- Click "Safe senders."
- Enter newsletters@edweek.org into the "Sender or domain to mark as safe" field.
- Click "Add to List."
If our e-newsletters are showing up in your Junk folder:
- Click "Junk" along the left side of any Hotmail page.
- If you see a message from "Education Week" listed among the messages in this folder, check the box next to that e-mail.
- Click the "Not Junk" button at the top of the page.
AOL
To add newsletters@edweek.org to your contacts:
- Open your latest e-newsletter from Education Week.
- Right-click on our name and e-mail address in the "From" field.
- Click "Add to Contacts" in the window that appears.
- Enter any additional information.
- Click "Save."
If our e-newsletters are showing up in your Spam folder:
- Open your Spam folder.
- If you see a message from "Education Week" listed among the messages in this folder, check the box next to that e-mail.
- Click the "Not Spam" button at the top of the page.
Entourage
To add newsletters@edweek.org to your address book:
- Open your latest e-newsletter from Education Week.
- Right-click on our name and e-mail address in the "From" field.
- Click "Add to Address Book" in the window that appears.
- Enter any additional information.
- Click "Save."
If our e-newsletters are showing up in your Spam folder:
- Open your Junk E-mail folder.
- If you see a message from "Education Week" listed among the messages in this folder, open that e-mail.
- Click "This is not junk mail" at the top of the e-mail.
- Select "Add Sender to the Address Book."
- Click "OK."
