How to Submit Calendar Events
List Your Events in Our Calendars
Education Week publishes a supplemental Calendar of Events twice a year. The Fall Calendar lists events from September of the current year through December of the following year. The Spring Calendar update lists events from March through December, overlapping the Fall Calendar dates. Education Week also publishes event listings weekly in the newspaper. Teacher Magazine is published six times per year.
Education Week, Teacher Magazine, and edweek.org use a common submission form for events and other items that appear in our calendars.
Submit your information online, and after it is reviewed, we will include it in the appropriate places, edited to conform to the requirements of each publication.
All events submitted will automatically appear in the online calendar, once accepted.

Criteria for inclusion in our calendars:
- K-12 conferences, workshops, seminars, and institutes for educators, including webcasts and other online programs.
- Job fairs (online only).
- Grant opportunities for teachers and schools.
- Awards conferred to educators, educational researchers, and schools.
- Deadlines for student contests, teacher fellowships, calls for conference proposals, scholarships, and available K-12 education awards.
Each publication has slightly different requirements for what is accepted:
Education Week: Only national and regional events sponsored by non-profit groups are included in our weekly and semiannual calendars.
Teacher Magazine: Regional and national events for teachers and students are accepted.
edweek.org: In addition to the events included in Education Week and Teacher Magazine, job fairs and other commercial events will be considered for inclusion in the online calendar. We can also accept events that are more local than we include in print. Also, events sponsored by for-profit organizations will be considered for inclusion in our online calendar. For-profit organizations should contact our advertising department by calling (301) 280-3100 or by e-mail for more information.
Both print and online listings are free for nonprofit organizations. However, only online listings are free for for-profit organizations.
Event sponsors also may wish to consider giving their event more prominence in the online calendar by buying a "featured event" listing.
For details on advertising events in print or buying "featured event" listings online, contact our advertising department by calling (301) 280-3100 or by e-mail for more information.
