Photo Gallery: Schools Scramble in the Wake of Southern Storms
On April 27, 2011, deadly storms swept across the Southern United States, killing at least 329 people in seven states and tearing apart more than a dozen schools. In Alabama alone, school buildings were heavily damaged or destroyed in at least six school districts.
