Microsoft Corp., the Seattle-based software company, has awarded the Platinum Ingenuity Point Award to TR Control Solutions, a Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, U.K.-based software company. The award is given in recognition of TRCS’s ecoDriver Schools program, which raises awareness about energy efficiency among teachers and students.
The Lincoln Center Institute, the educational division of the New York City-based Lincoln Center Performing Arts Center, has awarded two public schools in New York City with its Imagination Awards in recognition of their use of creative teaching practices and emphasis on the arts in their curriculum. PS 115 The Daniel Mucatel School in Brooklyn is the winner in the elementary school category, and The Renaissance Charter School in Queens is the winner in the high school category.
