Three-fourths of the nation's kindergartners attend full-day programs. Part-day enrollment remains particularly common in some western states. At least 80 percent of kindergarten students attend full-day in nearly half the states. In four states, on the other hand, full-day programs enroll less than 60 percent of those students.
