Wyoming standardized test results to be delayed

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Results from this year's statewide standardized test for Wyoming's public school students will go out a bit later than usual.

The reason is because of changes made to the test known as the Proficiency Assessments for Wyoming Students. State education officials say the changes are major enough that they also need to make changes to the scoring system.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports ( ) that usually the results go out to school districts before the start of the school year. Wyoming Department of Education spokesman Travis Hoff says this year's results will go out to districts around Sept. 5.

He says the data will be publicly released two or three weeks after that.
