The U.S. Department of Education last week named 304 schools—254 public and 50 private—as National Blue Ribbon Schools.

The award honors schools that have high levels of student achievement and that show progress toward closing achievement gaps among disadvantaged and minority students.

The list of schools is on the department’s website.
