English-Language-Learning Grant

The Graduate School of Education and Human Development at George Washington University in Washington has been awarded a $600,000 grant from the Seattle-based Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a philanthropy that works for social, economic, and educational equality. The grant will be used over the next two years to research ways to improve math and science curricula for English-language learners in middle school and high school.
