Tracking Teacher Compensation
The National Education Association reported last week that the
average percentage change in teachers’ salaries from the 2004-05
to the 2005-06 school year was 2.9 percent. Over the past 10 years,
salaries have increased 1.3 percent in constant dollars, according
to the report,
“Rankings and Estimates.”
