Grants Awarded

Kathryn Russell , of Graveraet Intermediate School in Marquette, Mich. and Dennis Rees , of Oakwood School in Peoria, Ariz., have been awarded the Grosvener Teacher Fellowship from the Washington-based National Geographic Society and New York City-based Lindblad Expeditions, a expedition travel company. This first award honors geography educators, and the two recipients will each receive a trip to the Galapagos Islands, as well as a $3,000 prize.
