Study says American Indian students falling behind
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A national group meeting in Helena this week says that American Indian students are falling behind.
The National Caucus of Native American State Legislators is releasing a report that looks at the so-called achievement gap.
The group says that 47 percent of American Indian students graduate from high school, compared to 70 of other students.
The group meets Friday to discuss the problem, study the report and decide what action needs to be taken.
