The Federal File in the Aug. 15, 2007, issue of Education Week incorrectly characterized the financial relationship of the Arkansas Virtual School, the Arkansas state education department, and K12, a Herndon, Va.-based company. As a statewide charter school, the Arkansas Virtual School receives state funding and contracts with K12 to provide curriculum and other services.

A brief news item in the same issue should have identified James B. Milliken as the president of the University of Nebraska, a system with campuses in Lincoln, Omaha, and Kearney.
