Reading Grants Awarded
Eight school districts and a state agency will share $30 million in federal grants for the 2006-07 school year to build research-based strategies for improving literacy skills among middle and high school students. The U.S. Department of Education announced the first awards under the Striving Readers initiative earlier this month.
