Robert C. Dickeson plans to retire Dec. 31 from his post as the senior vice president for policy and organizational learning at the Lumina Foundation for Education.

Mr. Dickeson, 65, has been with the philanthropy since its founding in August 2000. He previously held academic and administrative posts at five universities, and served as the state Cabinet chairman for Bruce Babbit when he was governor of Arizona, and as chief of staff for Roy Romer when he was governor of Colorado.

The Indianapolis-based Lumina Foundation seeks to expand access to postsecondary education in the United States, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing financial support for research and educational programs.
